Privacy Policy for IISM25

The Inter-IIT Sports Meet 2025 IIT Hyderabad (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the IISM25 mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect user information when you use the App.

By using the IISM25 app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information during the mandatory login and registration process:

• Full Name
• Age
• Contact Number
• College Email ID
• College/Institute Name
• Sport(s) Played

This information is required to verify participants, coaches, and officials and to ensure smooth coordination during the Inter-IIT Sports Meet 2025.

2. How We Use Your Information

The collected information is used strictly for official event purposes, including:

• User authentication and account management
• Displaying participant profiles
• Managing team and sport-related data
• Providing schedules, scorecards, live scoring, and leaderboards
• Sending important event-related updates and announcements
• Facilitating communication between participants and the organizing team

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• All user data is stored on college-managed servers maintained by IIT Hyderabad.
• We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
• Access to stored data is limited to authorized members of the organizing team only.

4. Third-Party Services

The IISM25 app does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, advertising platforms, or external SDKs. All data handling is managed internally by the organizing team.

5. Location Data

The app does not collect, access, or track any location data, including precise or approximate location information.

6. Media and Gallery Access

• Users cannot upload images or media through the app.
• The gallery section is view-only for users.
• All images displayed in the app are uploaded exclusively by authorized administrators.

7. Age Policy

There is no age restriction for using the app. Users of all ages associated with the Inter-IIT Sports Meet 2025 (participants, coaches, officials) may register and use the app.

8. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Users have the right to request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

To request account deletion:

• Contact us at ma24btech11018@iith.ac.in using your registered college email ID.

Upon verification, your account and stored personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers, except where retention is required for official or legal purposes.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share user personal data with any third parties. Data may only be accessed internally by the Inter-IIT Sports Meet 2025 organizing team for official operational purposes.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app and/or on the official platform. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
